MATERIALS USED FOR HALF PIPE REPAIR SLEEVES
Each of our half pipe repair sleeves is made from the components that are ASTM standards. For the manufacture of half pipe repair sleeves are used structural quality carbon steel plates & pressure vessel quality carbon steel plates. ASTM defines percentages of the chemical composition of the substance used, and we ensure that it is in compliance with the requirements specified. The materials used for carbon steel of structural quality include ASTM A36 (minimum yield of 36,000 psi), ASTM A572 GR42, GR50, GR55, GR60, and GR65 (minimum yield of 36,000 psi). The grades used are ASTM A516 GR55, GR60, GR65, and GR70 (for minimum yield of 38,000 psi) & ASTM A537 Class1, 2 & 3 (minimum yield of 50,000 psi) for pressure-rated vessels. FEATURES OF HALF PIPE REPAIR SLEEVES
For internal and external corrosion, gouges, dents, grooves, arc burns, cracks, defective girth welds, laminations, and leaks, the half pipe repair sleeves can be used. Pressure with sleeves is equal to or greater than the wall thickness needed for the limit

PRODUCTION OF HALF PIPE REPAIR SLEEVES
Half Pipe Replacement Sleeve is made using 3 methods viz. No heat treatment, spinning, phase braking & die-forming.
The half pipe repair sleeves has longitudinal edges bevelled for welding. It can also be bevelled by plasma torch burning at 30 degrees if necessary. Half pipe repair sleeves ends have square edges sheared for fillet welding but can be customized according to customer specifications. Our half pipe replacement sleeves is made from the material of the finest grade carbon fiber. By rolling, die forming and step braking, we pride ourselves on making the half pipe repair sleeves and they never undergo heat treatment.

MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND TESTING
On all goods, Mill check reports will be furnished. Stock plates are not available with a guaranteed maximum hardness. Individual tests can be done on the stock plate to verify the hardness. Additional independent tests are available to include: destructive, magnetic particulate matter, penetration of liquid, ultrasonic, and radiographic.
DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The longitudinal edges are beveled to 30 degrees (+5 degrees -0 degrees), with a 1/16 “(+ -1/32”) root face (land). That would be a bevel of mechanical form or by burning plasma torch. Beveled ends can be accessed upon request. Each half pipe sleeve is manufactured inside diameter to match the outer diameter of the standard nominal line pipe. Half pipe repair sleeves is designed in such a manner that when two halves of the sleeve are mounted on the pipe, the overall diameter of the pipe is equal to the diameter of the pipe minus a distance between the longitudinal edges for welding on either side of 1/16 “(-1/16″+1/32”).
