Pipe Sleeve

In the specific industrial industry, the products are manufactured, transported or sold by pipelines and a typical width of 40-45 feet is the average length of the production pipes. To stretch a considerable distance from end to end these individual pipes need to be wired. The most common method of joining the two separate pipes might be by welding together their ends. Welding can trigger a number of safety problems with the pipes. Second, the heat generated during the welding process removes the coating of polymers on the steel joint. That exposes the surface of the pipe to corrosion and the erosive chemicals that flow into the pipe. Indeed, the weld itself may be polluted by liquids, or the pipes may pass through the fluids. Hence the girth weld part of the pipes must be separated from the corrosive oil. Therefore the only way to protect the welded part of the pipe girth is to use Pipe Sleeve. What is Pipe Sleeve?

The Pipe Sleeve is a revolutionary device that is being used gradually to avoid damage from welding to the exterior area. The Pipe Sleeve is designed to shield the welded part of the girth from corrosion and also to provide an additional 100 percent coated piping. They are used for welded pipes, and separately painted parts for wire fittings. This provides a safe surface cover throughout the whole welding process, maintaining the longevity of the silicone coating of the pipe and avoiding the creation of rust spots at the joints. The Pipe Sleeve ranges from 2 “NB to 72” NB and can be covered with all kinds of liquid and powder covers used in processing, both internally and externally.

    FEATURES OF PIPE SLEEVE

    • Girth Weld Safety-Detach 1-2 from the Burn-back welding channel, securing the steel substratum.
    • Natural accommodation-Container-appropriate handling of the corrosive environment.
    • Improving the top and tapered ends of flow-smooth contributes to increased flow and decreased turbulence.
    • Secure anchor- If the recessed metal backing ring of the mounting is attached to the two ends of the pipe with tabs or pins during the welding process, the mounting is tightly secured to the shaft.
    • They can use any solvent and powder for decoration.

    APPLICATIONS OF PIPE SLEEVE

Pipe Sleeve are found in many various industries and applications. Below are only a few of them listed.

    • Applicable in onshore, marine, industrial, and petroleum pipelines.
    • Holds an I.D. Coating from the spattering of harmful welds during construction.
    • Suitable for all types and degrees of tubing in API 5L, ASME, ASTM material such as carbon fiber, and stainless steel.
    • No specially trained welder needed is mounted using a standard welding technique.
    • Isolates the portion of welded girth with a 100 percent I.D. Loop screwed shut.
    • It is part of the finished tube at completion, having the same permanent corrosion protection as the carrier tubing.

RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR PIPE SLEEVE

    • The checking state of the tubing continues to ensure no harm happens. Wash the earth, garbage, and other plant-influencing waste. The heat pipe stops to extract water or moisture at temperature 60-80 ° C if any is found. Measure the shaft’s inner diameter, to be at least horizontally and vertically within tolerance.
    • The Pipe Sleeve coating does not cause any harm, corrosion or other negative defects. Ensure the sealing pins, heat-resistance tape and other accessories are of high quality.
    • Mix epoxy mastic according to the mixing ratio and hold returning to the life of the epoxy pot when combined as suggested by a supplier.
    • Both welding operations must be downwards of 7 to 10 inches (175 to 250 mm) per minute. To allow the exhaust of expanding gases, a weeping hole of 0.5″ to 1″ (12.7 to 25.4 mm) is left. When passing the welding tab a weaving motion of the electrode must be produced to ensure complete melting.
    • Do not initiate intermediate passes until the weld has cooled down to or below 120 ° C. The weep hole will be filled at the start of the first filler run. Wait for as many passes as possible to complete the weld, and keep the weld downhill. The slags and other welding materials shall be removed from both passes.
    • Push the sleeve to one end of the thread, until the shaft’s bevel edge meets the pins. The process of injection shall be systematically shifted horizontally by hand. Add the next primed pipe end to the correct sleeve with epoxy, until the pins touch the bevel edge of the plug.
    • For welding procedures adhere to standard API 1104 or SAE31.1 chapter 9. Choose the lowest power rates available to hold the machines. The welded frame must be well ventilated and can be secured against inclement weather. During the welding process, pipe coatings and epoxy can emit toxic gasses. Connects the part MSDS to the welding cycle.
    • If preheating is required, after application of epoxy mastic heating from the outer pipe may not exceed 120 ° C. Attached manually to each end of the pipe but never to sleeve tabs and never welded or fastened to the center of the tubing. An additional pipe lock may be used for the purposes of welding tabs to connect the securing ends. Reli Sleeve avails it’s products all across India and various countries abroad as well.
